Cheshire College required dependable emergency standby power at two active campuses. Blackwell supplied two 50 kVA diesel generator sets, with the complete installation delivered by FW Power Generators.
The systems protect essential college facilities against unexpected mains interruptions while allowing normal campus activity to continue with minimal disruption.

Automatic standby operation
The ATS equipment continuously monitors the incoming mains supply. If the mains fails, the generators start automatically and supply the connected facilities. When the mains returns, the load transfers back safely and the generators shut down.
Careful coordination within the live educational environments helped minimise disruption while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
